Antiques are the carpets that are more than 60-80 years old and at the same time have some spesific characteristics as far as their design, their weaving technique, their materials and their authenticity are concerned.

It is clear that the above criteria are very important for a carpet's quality and there is a big difference between an old and an antique carpet.The carpets that are considered antiques have a special historical and cultural value as they carry a part of Oriental tradition, without being influenced by the changes of the 20th century.
